Reusable Hot & Cold Pack for Jaw

FM-468 supports two preparation methods. Cold therapy can help relieve inflammation and swelling. Heat therapy can help alleviate pain and stiffness. The product data sheet identifies use to help relieve fevers, bruises, swelling, muscle spasms, aches and pains, headaches, first-degree burns and fatigue.

The gel pack is reusable, but it should be inspected before every use. Discard the product if the pack is punctured, broken or leaking. Always confirm that its temperature is suitable before placing it against the body.

1. Place the jaw ice pack in a freezer or refrigerator for at least two hours, or until the desired temperature is reached.
2. Check the pack for damage and confirm that the temperature is suitable.
3. Position the wrap around the jaw, head or chin as required.
4. Do not apply cold for more than 20 minutes unless directed by a doctor.

1. Make sure the gel is evenly distributed inside the pack.
2. Heat the pack in a microwave for 30 seconds.
3. Because microwaves may heat the gel unevenly, check for hot spots and confirm that the temperature is suitable.
4. If more heat is required, reheat in 10-second intervals until the desired temperature is reached.
5. Do not apply heat for more than 20 minutes unless directed by a doctor.

For convenient cold use, seal the pack in a bag and store it in the freezer. It may also be stored in a sealed plastic bag at room temperature between 0°C and 30°C. Keep it away from light and moisture to reduce water loss through evaporation and help extend its usable life.
